Following the Ourimbah Campus closure from Monday to Wednesday this week due to heavy rainfall and associated flooding, we will be reopening the Campus tomorrow (Thurs 7 July).  

Please note that there will be some residual maintenance issues that need to be addressed on the campus as a result of the flooding and I suggest that staff only attend the Ourimbah Campus if they have a reason to be on campus tomorrow and Friday.   If you are required to travel to campus,  I encourage you to check local road conditions (Road closures | Central Coast Council (nsw.gov.au)) and follow the advice of authorities.  There will be no food services provided at the Ourimbah Campus tomorrow and Friday.

We anticipate a full resumption of normal services on the Ourimbah Campus from next week.

Staff on all campuses should continue to take care when moving about the campuses.

We are closely monitoring the flooding situation at the Ourimbah campus.  While the weather has improved today, there is significant rain forecast overnight.  There are also power outages on the campus that will be progressively fixed.  For these reasons, the Ourimbah Campus will remain closed on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  At this stage, the Campus will reopen on Thursday 7 July.  I will confirm the reopening date.

There has also been flood damage at the Callaghan Campus.  These issues are being rectified.

Please remain vigilant and take care when walking or driving on campuses.

We have decided to close the Ourimbah campus tomorrow (Mon 4 July) due to flooding in and around the campus.  With more persistent rain forecast in coming days, it is possible that the closure could extend beyond Monday.  We will review the situation tomorrow and send another message in the early afternoon.

Students are being informed of the closure.
